Europe and Australia's experiment with Central bank digital currency (CBDC)

We have seen many Central bank digital currency (CBDC) projects getting envisioned by major country such as china.Now the race is joined by Europe and Australia.

Today Christine Lagarde tweeted and asked for public views on CBDC.

As Europeans are increasingly turning to digital in the ways they spend, save and invest, we should be prepared to issue a digital euro, if needed. Today at the same time Australia also launched digital currency project

Australia’s central bank on Monday said it was launching a project to explore the potential use and implications of a wholesale form of central bank digital currency (CBDC) using distributed ledger technology (DLT).The Reserve bank of Australia (RBA ) is partnering with Commonwealth Bank,National Australis Bank and ConsenSys Software to collaborative on the project.
