The IRS’s criminal investigations division is seeking $ 32 million from the government to combat cryptocurrency tax evasion.
according to the budget rationale report, the IRS has outlined numbers of areas in which $ 32 million of additional funding will support the agemcy’s efforts to collect taxes on cryptocurrency tranactions.
the include expanding the use of specialized services provided by a group of cryptocurrency experts by creating internal dashboard for blockchain analytics. if approved,funding will also go towards attracting private sector experts applied in cybrecrime ,investigative support and related advisory service.
